Check this out

If you are into creative sewing you will have to check out this website http://marymulari.com/. She has some fantastic new apron patterns. I think my favorite is the Hot dish apron pattern. I love that it has some extra fabric to collect the veggies when you are out in the garden. I never seem to have enough hands to carry it all back to the house. With our garden being quite a distance away from the house this apron certainly would come in handy. She has some other great patterns also, check it out you will not be disappointed.

A needed boost

Those that read my blog may or may not know that I am also a liscenced Real Estate Salesperson. This is one of the ways that I fill my time while the kiddies are in school. One of the main reasons why I decided to try my hand in real estate was the flexibility of the schedule. I also love working with people and what better way to see some really beautiful homes. Anyway the point of this post is that I have been selling real estate for a year an a half now and with the current market conditions it has been really tough!! Yesterday was our annual award ceremony for our region. Well guess who was named "Rookie of the Year" ME!!! I was so excited and it was totally unexpected. I also made the million dollar club which also came as a surprise! I don't believe there is any monetary compensation for these awards but the recognition itself certainly lifted my spirits. I am ready to go sell, sell, sell. :)

Mommy Holly Apron Swap

This is the apron I made for my swap partner in the Mommy Holly Apron. My pictures do not do it justice. I can't wait until my dress form gets here! My partner Mallory liked all of the ruffles. The two most recent aprons that I made came from the Retro Apron pattern I bought at our local quilt shop. They both came out so cute. They weren't terribly diffucult just a bit time consuming. I have signed up for some other swaps but none have to do with sewing. I can't wait until the next apron swap, so much fun!! Oh my swap apron also arrived but I haven't taken a pic yet...think green lemonaide..so so cute!!!

Giving is just as good as receiving

I had so much fun participating in the Sassy Flirty Apron Swap hosted by Shawnee and Lucy. My first swap was a huge success. My swap partner received her apron today and I think she really liked it. See her comment on and earlier post. Hi Lolly!! Here are a few pics of the apron before I sent it out. I can' t wait for my dress form to make its way up from Florida with Meeme but that is a whole nother post.

First swap received..I'm in love:)

I received my first swap and was so overwhelmed with the thought and generousity that went into my swap package. What fun to receive a surprise in the mail from a total stranger that put a package together like she knew me all my life. My apron is beautiful and all the little extras were just perfect. I also received a scrumptious scarf that is my favorite color and missing from the picture because it was around my neck. I also received a tea towel apron, ribbon and fabric for my next project, a spiral notebook and the biggest surprise Avocados!!! Love them all. Thanks again Nicki!!!!
